Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 7, 2026
1. Introduction
StreamSnap ("we," "our," or "us") is a platform that connects Kick streamers with businesses for promotional discount code campaigns. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share your information when you use our services.
We are committed to protecting user privacy and operating in full compliance with Kick's Developer Services Agreement. Our platform is designed with privacy-by-default principles, ensuring streamers maintain control over their personal information.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 For Streamers (via Kick OAuth)
When you authenticate with Kick, we collect:
- Kick user ID and username
- Profile image URL
- Channel information (followers, verified status)
- Email address (for account communications only)
Important: We request only the minimum OAuth scopes necessary (user:read and channel:read) and do not access private messages, financial information, or other sensitive Kick data.
2.2 For Businesses
When you register as a business, we collect:
- Business name and contact information
- Email address
- Stripe Connect account information for payment processing
- Business category and description
3. Our Privacy-First Approach
StreamSnap operates on a consent-based application model that fundamentally protects streamer privacy:
3.1 Streamer Profiles Are Private By Default
Businesses cannot browse, search, or view streamer profiles. Unlike traditional influencer marketplaces, we do not provide a directory or database of streamers for businesses to explore. Streamer information remains completely private until the streamer chooses to share it.
3.2 Streamers Control When Their Data Is Shared
The only way a business sees a streamer's profile information is when that streamer actively applies to participate in a business's campaign. This application process includes:
- Explicit consent: Before submitting an application, streamers must acknowledge and consent to sharing their profile information with the specific business.
- Timestamped consent records: We record when consent was granted for each application, creating an auditable trail.
- Limited scope: Profile information is shared only with the business whose campaign the streamer applied to — not with any other businesses on the platform.
3.3 What This Means In Practice
| Action | Who Initiates | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Business creates campaign | Business | Campaign is visible to streamers; no streamer data exposed |
| Streamer browses campaigns | Streamer | Streamer sees campaign details; business sees nothing |
| Streamer applies to campaign | Streamer (with consent) | Business can now see this specific streamer's profile |
| Business accepts/declines | Business | Streamer notified of decision |

When you apply to a campaign, you explicitly consent to sharing your profile information with that specific business. This is the only way your information is shared with businesses.
5.2 Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services:
- Stripe: For payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy)
- Kick: For OAuth authentication (subject to Kick's Privacy Policy)
- Database hosting: Secure cloud database infrastructure
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 For Streamers

- Withdraw applications: You can withdraw pending applications at any time
- Delete your account: You can request account deletion, which will remove your profile and revoke access
- Revoke Kick access: You can revoke our OAuth access through your Kick account settings at any time
7.2 For Businesses
- Manage campaigns: You control which campaigns are active and visible to streamers
- Delete your account: You can request account deletion
8. Kick Platform Compliance
StreamSnap is designed to comply with Kick's Developer Services Agreement and API Terms of Use. Specifically:
- No unauthorized data aggregation: We do not create a searchable database or directory of Kick users for third-party access
- Consent-based data sharing: User data is only shared when the user explicitly consents through the application process
- Minimum necessary scopes: We request only the OAuth scopes required for core functionality
- User-initiated flows: All data sharing is initiated by the user (streamer), not by third parties (businesses)
- No marketplace model: We do not operate as an influencer marketplace where businesses can browse and select streamers
9. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion:
- Profile information is removed from active systems
- Transaction records may be retained for legal/financial compliance
- Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics
10. Children's Privacy
StreamSnap is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
